A cleaning company’s website has one job: turn a visitor into a quote request. People don’t come to admire it; they come to check that you clean homes like theirs, in their area, at a fair price, and that booking is easy. Here’s what a site needs to get them there.
The First Few Seconds
Most visitors decide within seconds whether to stay, and most of them are on a phone. The top of your home page should answer three questions without any scrolling:
What you do. “House cleaning and move-out cleaning”, not a slogan about sparkle and shine.
Where you do it. The city or area you serve, right in the headline or just below it.
How to book. One clear button for a quote, and your phone number as a tap-to-call link.
Everything else, like your story, your values and your team, can come further down, once people know they’re in the right place.
A Page for Every Service
Deep cleaning, move-out cleaning, recurring maid service and office cleaning are different searches from different people. One “Services” page listing them all can’t rank for any of them. Give each service its own page, with:
what’s included, room by room, and what isn’t;
how long it usually takes and how often people book it;
a price range, or what the price depends on;
before-and-after photos of that service;
the questions people ask about it, answered;
a quote button that already knows which service they came for.
A Page for Every City You Cover
People search “house cleaning in Round Rock”, not “house cleaning in the greater Austin area”. If you serve several cities or neighborhoods, each one deserves its own page: which services you offer there, how soon you can come, reviews from local customers and a few details that show you really know the area.
Avoid copying the same page and only swapping the city name. Google treats those as thin, duplicate pages, and customers notice too. A shorter page that’s truly about that city works better than ten identical ones.
Proof That Builds Trust
Hiring a cleaner means letting a stranger into your home, so trust decides more than price. Show it where people make the decision, not only on an “About” page:
Real reviews
Show your Google rating and a few reviews that mention the service and the neighborhood. Specific reviews convince more than five stars alone.
Your own photos
Your team, your vehicles and your results. Stock photos of smiling models in spotless kitchens make every cleaning site look the same.
Insurance and screening
If you’re insured and bonded and you background-check your team, say so clearly. People are letting you into their homes.
A clear promise
If you offer a re-clean or a satisfaction guarantee, put it near the quote button, in plain words.
A Quote Form People Actually Finish
The quote form is where the whole website pays off, and it’s where many sites lose people. Long forms with a dozen required fields feel like paperwork. Keep it short:
ask only what you need for a first quote: name, phone or email, zip code, service and home size;
make it work with one thumb: big fields, the right keyboard for phone numbers, no tiny checkboxes;
say what happens next and when: “We’ll text you a quote within two hours”;
offer a quick alternative: tap to call or send a text.
Every extra field is a reason to leave. Ask for the details you need to quote, and get the rest on the phone.
Mistakes That Quietly Cost You Calls
Common mistakes
5 to fixEverything on one page. All services and all cities squeezed into the home page, so none of them can rank.
No prices at all. Even a range or a starting price keeps people from leaving to find one elsewhere.
A slow, heavy site. Big photos and sliders that make phone visitors give up before the page loads.
A phone number that isn’t a link. On mobile, people want to tap it, not copy it.
A form that goes nowhere. No confirmation, no reply time, so people aren’t sure it worked and call a competitor.
